Jess Harris Flying Sheriff
The former Flying Sheriff of Elko County will be inducted into the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame. Jess Harris was the son of Joe Harris, also a sheriff, and served 28-years from 1951 to 1974, also serving as undersheriff. Elko County Commissioners are set to adopt a proclamation to mark the event during Wednesday's regular meeting.
