Lamoille Contract Postal Unit Closed -
Lamoille Valley residents are being advised to pick up their mail at the Spring Creek Post Office today as authorities conduct an internal investigation into contract services provided at the town site. The "Lamoille Contract Postal Unit" was closed abruptly Thursday as a probe was launched into possible criminal activities. The U-S Postal Service does not own nor operate the service that provides 245 boxes. A spokesman explained the center was forced to close with no advance notice as the Office of the Inspector General is investigating. The U-S Postal Service apologizes for the inconvenience.
