Peter Coca Sentenced for Wells Shooting
A 45-year-old Wells man who sprayed 60 bullets from the rooftop of his home, badly wounding an Elko County Sheriff's deputy, will spend more than two-dozen years behind bars. Visiting Judge Charles McGee handed down the sentence to Peter Coca, saying he believes Coca was trying to commit suicide by cop in February of 2011 when Deputy Lenwood Van Natter took five bullets while responding to a domestic violence at the address.
