Wednesday, November 2, 2011 - Elko County Commissioners are again hosting the annual Veterans Day Parade, a local event to honor those who have served or are in active military service. County Commissioner Charlie Myers, a Vietnam veteran, says the event is to honor those in service and to remind and educate others about sacrifice made in defense of freedom.
