Accidental Shooting in Spring Creek 2-20-13
The Elko County Sheriff's office is investigating an apparent accidental shooting in Spring Creek in which a four year old child was wounded. Elko County Sheriff Jim Pitts said emergency responders were called to a home on Blackstone Drive Wednesday where they found the preschooler suffering a gunshot wound to the upper thigh. The wound did not appear to be life threatening according to authorities. The child was taken to the hospital for examination as deputies continued their investigation.
