Alcohol in City Parks
Elko City leaders have tightened laws regarding alcohol in specific city parks after fielding complaints about noise, nuisance and illegal activity. Park Superintendent James Wiley said the City Code has allowed for increased regulation, and the time has come to enforce a ban on booze where liquor is being abused in public.
