Bristlecone Audubon Society Bird Count
The annual Elko Christmas Bird Count is set for Saturday December 15th. Volunteers are needed to help record the numbers and kinds of birds who may be wintering or just passing through the region this time of year. Birder Lois Ports says the presence or absence of birds tells a lot about the environment including climate.
