Downtown Arrest   -
While doing a security check of the downtown bar district on Tuesday, June 18 at about 9:45 Officers had contact with an intoxicated male who was yelling and causing a verbal disturbance because the bartender had "cut him off" as he was to intoxicated to be served. Officers attempted to escort him outside and called a cab for him. During this time he was asked for his ID. The individual refused to provide his ID and would not give his name. He was placed under arrest for obstructing an officer for failing to provide proper ID. During a search incident to arrest the officers found him to be in possession of a loaded handgun concealed on his person. The male had a concealed weapons permit that has since been seized by officers pending revocation by the sheriff.
