Fatal Shooting - Carlin 3-11-13  -
A Carlin mother was shot and killed, her son badly wounded in a pair of shotgun blasts allegedly fired by an older son who police say had just moved back in with the family.  Suspect Brant Davis was taken into custody just before 9 a-m Monday after police arrived to find Teresa Black, 52, dead at the scene. The victim's 19 year old son, Taylor, also known as T.J. was critically wounded and airlifted directly to a Salt Lake City hospital. Officers arrested 22 year old Davis, decribed as T.J.'s half brother, still on the scene. Sheriff's Lt. Kevin McKinney said investigators aren't sure what prompted the fatal shooting, the suspect had recently moved back to Carlin from Oregon where he had been living the past two and a half years, arriving on Friday, March 8th.
