History of Basque Sheepherders Program -
Leading up to the National Basque Festivities you'll want to attend a free program this weekend highlighting the history and culture of the original Basque immigrants to the region who worked long and lonely hours as sheepherders. UNR researcher Kent McAdoo says the Basque are known as hardworking, but there is also a fascinating story of loyalty, intuitiveness and humor that follows the people.
