Managing Sage Grouse-
Elko County Commissioners have approved independent plans for Managing Sage Grouse; the species is under consideration by the US Fish and Wildlife Service for a threatened or endangered listing by 2014. Natural Resource Director Randy Brown is working to persuade other Nevada Counties to adopt the local document that may or may not be included in Governor Brian Sandoval's state plan.
