Elko County officials have been notified a Record of Decision is imminent as the U-S Forest Service is finalizing plans to designate some two-thousand miles of forest road for motorized recreational vehicle travel. County Commission Chairman Jeff Williams says the controversial decision to restrict some 200 miles of trails and ban cross country travel will likely be met with opposition but he's urging the county to take a more cooperative approach.
