Red Cow Fire 8-20-13 -
A Trio of weekend wildfires continues to burn in Elko and nearby Eureka County. the Kinsley Fire some 25 miles southwest of Wendover has blackened almost 700 acres since being sparked by lightning. Just 3 miles southeast of Eureka the Spanish Gulch Fire has burned about 600 acres of sagebrush and grass, also a lightning start. The biggest blaze is in rugged high country near Tuscarora as BLM Field Manager Rich Adams describes, the Red Cow Fire is burning in green trees.
