The 29th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering opens with workshops, performances and exhibits with a theme this year reflecting the influence of the Italian cowboy on American western culture. Featured artists this year include Drew Mischianti and his wife, Natalia Estrada, with gear and photography in the Wiegand Gallery.
